Steve grew up in Florida, graduated for Dallas Theological Seminary and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Steve spent 10 years on staff at a church outside of Seattle, WA and he became the Lead Pastor at Central in June of 2018. Steve loves the local church, loves telling people about Jesus and what Jesus is doing in his life, and helping people understand how a relationship with Jesus impacts all aspects of our everyday lives. Living and growing in a relationship with Jesus is the one thing that defines his ministry. Steve oversees the Preaching/Equipping here at Central and leads the way in shaping the vision God has given our church.
Steve also serves on the board for Rural Church Youth Ministries and spends time each week training pastors in Sierra Leone, Africa. Part of his mission in life is to make disciples here locally, throughout our country, and all over the world. When Steve is not at church you can usually find him hanging out with his wife, Stephanie, and their three kids, Emma, Bree, & Pierce. They enjoy a good hike, going to the beach, finding a good book at the library, but most of all, time together.
